The French admire Sarkozy for falling over

*I really don't know what to make of this. It's got me scratching my head. Do you think Gordon Brown's popularity would shoot up twelve points if he had some heart tremor in London? I dunno, maybe.

*I get it that there would be a sympathy factor, but what's all this stuff about the "courage" and the "closeness to the French people"? The guy's got beaucoup courage, and he sure seems plenty French to me, but why would a jogging incident make voters realize that?

*Maybe the poll is hokum.
