*This report is keenly interesting for two reasons. First, it's got some fine detail on a lot of transnational cyberwar attacks I've scarcely heard of, and second, it appears from this report that all of these attacks are invented, organized and carried out by teenagers. Teenagers, or state-supported "youth groups" like Nashi in Russia.
*Reading this leads me to two surmises. Either these investigators (who look pretty much like a loosely-organized hacker team themselves) lack the chops and the clout to uncover any full-time, uniformed, salaried cyberwar professionals, or, well, there aren't any. There have never yet been any professional cybarmageddon warriors. "Cyberwar" is almost all classic hacker-kid demographic, it's bright disaffected male kids between age 16-22, just the same as it was a long quarter-century ago.
*Only nowadays the kids attack governments.
*"Cold Zero." Cold Zero is obviously a black-hat, but I don't think young Mr "Cold Zero" walks around in any gray trenchcoat, shades and fedora, because that get-up would be a little steamy for an Israeli Arab high-schooler in a subtropical country.
*You know how long the Russians have had pet transnational nitwit hacker boys on the ol' payroll? AGES now. Since before there were "Russians."
