*I haven't seen a good-old-fashioned subversive almighty reds-under-the-bed pitch like this in quite a while.
*China's in somebody's doghouse. It's not just Google and their misty spook contretemps there – there are anti-China drumbeats coming out of the woodwork all over the political spectrum. Not just the US, either.
*I wonder what the Chinese did so wrong. They haven't shut off the Eastern Seaboard or brought the American Republic to its knees with button-pushing yet. They haven't attacked Taiwan or cozied up to Al Qaeda. They didn't shoot down a spyplane lately. Was it Copenhagen? The finance crisis? Did they spit in the birds'-nest soup someplace? I don't get it, but the China-bashing's been going on for weeks now and seems to be intensifying.
