*Imagine raiding a secretive terrorist group, and realizing that, instead of accumulating the usual cheap, rugged, cost-effective M-15s, Uzis and AKs, they had painstakingly made up their own eerie private arsenal of atemporal steampunk weapons. Man, that would really be scary. It would wig people out totally as a simple political statement. The police would totally freak out even if those terrorists didn't shoot anybody.
