"The purpose is for you to understand what a Pachube feed is, how its datastreams get updated, and what you can use the datastreams for, without having to use the Pachube API – though do remember that the API is always much more sophisticated and extensive than anything you see here or on the Pachube website! If there's a feature you are missing, then there is a good chance the API can already do it...
