*Most of those aren't actually "crazy." They're very interesting explorations of the military design space. "Crazy" in my opinion would be something like tatterdemalion militias and hastily-armed opportunist civil-warriors. Whereas most of these people have been outfitted with great care and matured consideration, not to mention expense.
*Awesomely weird, though. Future toy-soldier collectors will appreciate our epoch. Nothing like that before, and likely nothing much like it after. Gothic High-Tech.
