The Share Prize, designed to discover, promote and support art in the digital age.
The contest is dedicated to artists that use digital technology as a language of creative expression, in all shapes and formats and in combination with analogical technologies and/or any other material.
The Share Prize this year will focus on the theme for the 7th Share Festival, entitled Cops & Robbers.
The theme takes its inspiration from the use of appropriationism, activism and plagiarism in art, which today has turned fakes, mash ups and remixes into an avant-garde artistic stance that flirts with what customarily is the wrong side of the law.
The six short-listed works will be invited to take part in the 7th Share Festival, to be held in Torino from 2nd to 6th November 2011, at the Regional Museum of Natural Science.

Il Premio Share, che ha lo scopo di scoprire, promuovere e sostenere l'arte in epoca digitale.
Il concorso è dedicato ad artisti che utilizzano la tecnologia digitale come linguaggio di espressione creativa, in tutte le forme e i formati, anche in combinazione con tecnologie analogiche e/o qualunque altro materiale.
Il premio quest’anno verterà sull’argomento della 7° edizione di Share Festival dal titolo Cops & Robbers.
Il tema si ispira a pratiche artistiche come l'appropriazionismo, l'interventismo, il plagiarismo, che possono essere lette in una chiave che oggi fa del fake, mash up e remix un'estetica che sconfina in espressioni artistiche di frontiera e nel superamento delle consuetudini della legalità.
Le sei opere selezionate saranno invitate a partecipare alla 7° edizione di Share Festival, che si svolgerà a Torino dal 2 al 6 novembre 2011 al Museo Regionale di Scienze Naturali.
