For those not already impatiently awaiting,* John Carter* is a Disney film to be released March 9 based on the protagonist of the Barsoom series by Edgar Rice Burroughs. (In the case of this movie, largely based on A Princess of Mars.) The titular character is a Confederate cpatain who finds himself mysteriously on Mars and a part of that planet's conflicts. Taylor Kitch of Friday Night Lights plays Carter.
