Musica Globalista: Radio Silence magazine

*It would somehow be great, and maybe even fitting, if the last paper magazines in existence were nonprofits about about rock and roll.

*It's a press release.

RADIO SILENCE ISSUE 02 HITS SHELVES
Lit and Rock Magazine Features New Work by Bradbury, Springsteen, Pinsky

SAN FRANCISCO – Radio Silence, the new magazine of literature and rock & roll, has released its highly anticipated second issue—215 pages of essays, interviews, fiction, poetry, and illustrations by contributors including Ray Bradbury, Bruce Springsteen, Robert Pinsky, Rick Moody, Billy Bragg, Myla Goldberg, David Remnick, Wendy MacNaughton, Dana Gioia, and others.

“We understand the recklessness of creating a print magazine at a time when that industry is on the decline,” said Editor-in-Chief Dan Stone. “But we’re trying to do something unique—to produce a carefully curated publication that is not only challenging and engaging, but also accessible to a non-literary audience. People may be drawn to this new issue because it includes a great conversation with Springsteen, but then hopefully they’ll end up discovering Robert Pinsky or Edith Wharton or Grace Paley.”

Along with the bi-annual print magazine, Radio Silence is a San Francisco-based 501(c)3 nonprofit working to help preserve arts education by raising funds to buy books and musical instruments for kids. They also put on live events with writers and musicians, and they maintain a website that offers daily news in rock and literature, as well as podcasts, short films, and other media.

Complimentary digital copies of issue 02 are available for interested journalists and critics. To request a copy or an interview with editor-in-chief Dan Stone, please contact [email protected]. For more information, go to maintainradiosilence.com.
