*If I, personally, had to make up a scenario about sleaze-bag Russian cellphone-hacker guys who somehow decide to leak a lot of stuff from a Kremlin public-relations fixer, that fictional scenario would read almost exactly like this.
*It would be set mostly in steamy Bangkok, and there would be a mail-drop with the ol' burner-phone SIM card hack, and there would be this cool Slavic riff in there about how once somebody in the Higher Circles tried to hire them to spy on themselves… There would be all of this, except for today's part about Marine Le Pen getting whacked in the French press about a multi-million-dollar Russian kickback bribery scheme, because involving ultra-right French politicians would have disturbed the smooth tone of the cyberpunk narrative.
