European Union political journalists who play pop music

*At least I THINK that's what is going on here... What else could they mean by "Brussels Bubble"? And what if there was a "Brussels Bubble Sound," like Ibiza "Balearic Beat"? That would be sort of awesome.

BOYS IN THE BANDS

Tigers of Eden are the latest band composed of EU bubble folk to hit the big time (or perhaps the medium time — we’ll report back on sales figures). Fernando Anton, a consultant at Cambre Associates, along with POLITICO alum Vince Chadwick, Thomas Schmidt (of Austrian DPA) and Chris Burns (of Euronews) are set to release the album “New Stripes.” In addition to original music the band does “a bunch of covers, anything from Elvis to the Rolling Stones, Muse, RHCP, Foster the People.” Their Brussels bubble rivals include Toy Division (Thomas Barros-Tastets of GPlus; Carl Dolan of Transparency International; James Kanter, formerly of the New York Times; and Tim Nuthall of the European Climate Foundation) and Dynamo Scharbeek, featuring Simon Taylor, a POLITICO alum who’s now at MLex. Now that Miguel Gil Tertre has left the Cabinet of Commission Vice President Jyrki Katainen, Playbook expects him to get back his former life which included recording electronic music.
