*I kinda had it figured that this guy was a better musician than people were letting on. Given that Skrillex is not an intellectual, he's very street and not, like, Dr Holly Herndon, he's quite an intelligent guy. Also, he's got the proper tech-artist work-ethic of: I'm gonna push the limits on this particular set-up, then back off, circle around and try some related yet different thing. And then I'll remember that later, pull it out of that niche where I stashed it, and deploy it when and where it's most effective. I know a lot of effective artists who work like that, and the popular reaction is like: "He's so eclectic!" No, he's got a method-of-action, and he's working at a deeper level than you can see at one glance.
