Tom Bihn Brain Bag
Frequent flier toting around multiple laptops and changes of clothes? Swap your bulky roller bag for a Tom Bihn Brain Bag. It has a whopping 36 liters of capacity—as much a hiking backpack. ($200)
Aer Designs Fit Pack 2
Every fitness fiend knows how hard keeping your sweaty kicks away from your laptop and lunch can be. The Aer Fit Pack 2 has a separate, ventilated shoe compartment—and, for the joggers, a streamlined minimalist exterior. ($135)

Chrome Vega Brief might be the coolest take on a briefcase yet. It’s made of glossy, black, ballistic nylon, and has hideaway backpack and shoulder straps so you can bike to work, slide it under an airplane seat, or sit down at a business meeting with aplomb. ($160)

If you’ve spent years customizing your own idiosyncratic carry system a la Veep’s Gary Walsh, you will be thrilled by the GoRuck’s GR1. Designed by an ex-Special Forces operator, it’s tough enough for anything life dishes out, and its slim profile belies an awesome carrying capacity. ($295)

Timbuk2 has been making durable bags for San Francisco bike messengers for decades, but the Authority Pack is a significant upgrade. We love its quirky details, and how the capacious main compartments pack down without making the exterior look lumpy or unprofessional. ($129)
