Insomniac Games has a flair for the ridiculous, and *Sunset Overdrive* appears to be no different. Think *Dead Rising* meets *Ratchet and Clank* meets *Tony Hawk's Pro Skater* Due October 28 for Xbox One.

The sequel to Ubisoft's hit shooter *Far Cry 3* brings us to the fictional Himalayan region of Kyrat, and we're stoked about the return of one of *Far Cry 3*'s best features: the wingsuit. Look for it November 18 on PS3, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and Microsoft Windows.

*Cuphead*, a side-scrolling platformer/shooter in the vein of *Contra*, gets its charm from a classic-cartoon aesthetic. The indie game from StudioMDHR is expected next year on Xbox One and Steam.

It's tough to improve the visuals of a game with a minimalist aesthetic, but the forthcoming sequel to parkour-platforming cult fave *Mirror's Edge* looks absolutely gorgeous, even in early conceptual stages. The game is planned for PC, Xbox One, and PS4, but the release date is TBD.

Nintendo designer Shigeru Miyamoto (the guy behind *Mario*, *Zelda*, and others) showed off *Project Guard*. The tower defense-type game requires you to ward off attacking robots using security cameras controlled via the gamepad. The trick? The gamepad displays one camera at a time. You've got to look up at the TV, or rely on spectators to relay info. It's cool, it's innovative and it's release date is TBD.

Microsoft underscored its commitment to indies by showcasing *Limbo* developer Playdead's new game, *Inside*. The side-scroller features the same dreary mood of its predecessor, but looks considerably more atmospheric thanks to the action you witness in the fore- and background. Look for it on Xbox early next year.

We finally got a real look at the action-adventure monster-slayer *The Order: 1886*. The game, set in an alternate-history London with a steampunk aesthetic, is stunning. It may be among the first games with little to no noticeable graphical difference between pre-rendered cutscenes and gameplay. Due February 20, 2015 for PlayStation 4.

We first saw Ubisoft's unveiled *Tom Clancy's The Division* last year, and it only looks better now. It offers a *Mass Effect*-style combo of third-person shooting and role-playing-game-minded mechanics set in a post-apocalyptic near-future. It's due next year for PC, Xbox One, and PS4.

*Ori and the Blind Forest* from Moon Studios was among the best looking indie games at E3. It's a "metroidvania"-style game — an action-platformer with RPG — with a gorgeous Miyazaki-esque aesthetic. It's a coming-of-age story about a forest spirit learning his place in the world. Xbox One and PC, fall 2014.

Though we're still a long, long way from release, Nintendo gave us a glimpse at the next-gen *Zelda*. And what a glimpse it was. Nintendo promises an open-world adventure in which Link can explore every mountain and valley without constraint. It looks gorgeous, and we can't wait to play it. Hurry up already, Nintendo.
