    Dyson's engineers conducted loads of research, starting with images of hair taken with a scanning electron microscope. All in all, they tested 1,010 miles of human hair.

    Dyson has used it Air Multiplier technology before to create quieter fans. The hair dryer uses that feature, and relies on heat sensors that regulate the temperature of the air coming out. Dyson’s engineers think this will lead to beautiful, healthier hair.
