Gallery: E3 Has Gotten Too Big to Fit All the Game Debuts
Electronic Arts01e3-1
__Mirror's Edge Catalyst__: Electronic Arts announced this follow-up to the 2008 fan-favorite first-person parkour game a couple years ago, but now it's finally revealed the whole thing. Its pre-show announcement seems to be managing fans' expectations, as EA says it's going to [change up the formula](http://www.mirrorsedge.com/) for this "not a sequel."
Bethesda02e3-2
__Fallout 4__: Whether you love exploring RPGs set in a medieval fantasy land or a bombed-out future, Bethesda always has you covered, but only in those two specific scenarios. It's time once again for the latter. [*Fallout 4*](http://www.fallout4.com/) will likely be the star of the publisher's first-ever live E3 press conference on Sunday night.
Sony03e3-3
__Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection__: With *Uncharted 4* delayed to 2016 and Sony's lineup (in its own words) "a little sparse," here's the usual retail buffer: A [collection of all three PlayStation 3 *Uncharted*s](https://www.playstation.com/en-us/games/uncharted-the-nathan-drake-collection-ps4/), now on PS4 with slightly upgraded visuals. Great, but did they have to name it the *exact same way* as Microsoft's *Halo* package from last year?
Nintendo04e3-4
*Hyrule Warriors* 3DS: Whoops! I thought this was a pre-E3 announcement, but it seems as if Koei Tecmo just took the [trailer for its latest Nintendo collaboration live](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IlcFUGq_RTA) a little too early. Whoops. Well, the toothpaste ain't going back in the tube; last year's *Zelda*-*Dynasty Warriors* mashup for Wii U is coming to Nintendo's portable system---with *Wind Waker* characters!
Nintendo05e3-5
Unannounced Platinum Games Game: An [announcement of an announcement](http://www.ign.com/articles/2015/06/09/e3-2015-unnanounced-platinum-game-coming-to-e3). In this case, the new game from the developer of *Bayonetta 2* (pictured) hasn't actually been unveiled yet, but by pre-announcing it, Platinum has ensured that would-be players will keep their ears to the ground for the big reveal next week.
Sega06e3-8
*Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice*: Sonic the Hedgehog's reputation has fallen rather low these days, but at least this [new entry for the Nintendo 3DS](http://blogs.sega.com/2015/06/09/announcing-sonic-boom-fire-ice-2/) is sticking with 2-D platforming. Go with what you know. In this case, I imagine this pre-show announcement was simply because nobody would notice if Sega dropped this during E3. Poor Sonic.
Activision07e3-7
*Skylanders Superchargers*: Activision will have more competition than ever in the toys-to-life sphere this year, with *Lego Dimensions* joining *Disney Infinity* on toy store shelves. (I'd mention Amiibos if there were any on shelves.) This year's [*Skylanders*](http://www.skylanders.com/) is built to wring so, so much more money out of parents, adding vehicles to the mix of interactive toys.
