Creepy child vampire flick [Let Me In](http://www.letmein-movie.com/) will open this year's Fantastic Fest genre-film extravaganza. The annual throwdown in Austin, Texas, kicks off Sept. 23 with a ghoulish star turn from Chloe Moretz in the movie's U.S. premiere. In *Let Me In*, Moretz -- fresh off her [Kick-Ass breakthrough as Hit Girl](http://stag-komodo.wired.com/underwire/2010/04/hit-girls-kick-ass/) -- plays an exceptionally self-assured vampire for director Matt Reeves (Cloverfield). Throughout the eight-day fest, an international blast of movies from France, Hong Kong, Serbia and beyond will screen at Austin's awesome Alamo Drafthouse, which is quickly becoming ground zero for genre films. This year's movies run the gamut from zombies and biker violence to psychotic automobile tires. Check the gallery for a sampling from [Fantastic Fest 2010](http://www.fantasticfest.com/). __Above:__ Let Me In --------- This English-language remake of John Ajvide Lindqvist's Swedish art-house film [Let the Right One In](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Let_the_Right_One_In) focuses on a bullied 12-year-old (played by Kodi Smit-McPhee), who toughens up after meeting mysterious neighbor Abby (Moretz).
