OnePlus 8T Camera Samples

OnePlus 8T, main camera. This is a solid photo, though it should have picked up a little more detail considering the natural light available.
OnePlus 8T, Nightscape. Compare this with the following photo. It maintains almost the same amount of detail as the Pixel, but colors are punchier, and skew a little too green and yellow.
Pixel 5, Night Sight. Google does a better job with white balance here, though it turns the stadium lights in the background a tad too blue.

Photograph: Julian Chokkattu04OnePlus 8T, main camera. I like this shot (Japanese curry, if you're wondering\!), but it's oversaturated. The cauliflower, for example, was not that yellow, but more white.
Photograph: Julian Chokkattu05OnePlus 8T, main camera. This is a fine photo, but I compared it with the same shot from the Pixel 5 (not in the gallery), and Google's phone decidedly picked up more detail though colors aren't as punchy. If you look closely at the grass here, the blades aren't defined.
Photograph: Julian Chokkattu06OnePlus 8T, Nightscape. Compare this with the following photo. They're both almost equally sharp, but the OnePlus shot is grainier and spreads this warm tone throughout, even affecting the sky.
Photograph: Julian Chokkattu07Pixel 5, Night Sight. The separation of colors, like between the bluer sky and the yellow leaves, really makes this the more pleasing photo.
Photograph: Julian Chokkattu08OnePlus 8T, Portrait Mode. This is a solid portrait mode photo, with good separation between the subject and the background. But compare it with the Portrait mode photo from the Pixel (the following image), and you'll notice OnePlus didn't quite get the skin tone right.
Photograph: Julian Chokkattu09Pixel 5, Portrait Mode. Google also does a solid job of outlining the subject, but it goes further with a more natural-looking skin tone. Even the mask doesn't have this yellow hue the OnePlus conjures. Detail-wise, both are similar, but I'd say the OnePlus photo is a hair sharper.
Photograph: Julian Chokkattu10OnePlus 8T, Monochrome camera. The 8T has a monochrome sensor, and while you're still capturing images with the main camera, it applies data captured from the sensor to offer a black and white shot that's better than a filter. It's a lot of fun to play around with.
Photograph: Julian Chokkattu11OnePlus 8T, Monochrome camera. Here's another shot from the mono sensor. Despite how dark it was in this room, there's plenty of detail in the shadowy parts of this photo.
Photograph: Julian Chokkattu12OnePlus 8T, Ultrawide camera with Nightscape. You can take decent ultrawide photos at night thanks to the dedicated Nightscape mode. The boosted colors here help, though the overall image isn't quite as sharp as what the Pixel 5 produced.
Photograph: Julian Chokkattu13OnePlus 8T, Ultrawide camera. It's overcast and the camera isn't perfect in its handling of the bright, white sky and the shady street. Look at the car, it's super grainy.
Photograph: Julian Chokkattu14OnePlus 8T, Nightscape. I like this shot a lot. The leaves in focus are sharp, the colors are nice, and a nice amount of natural bokeh blurring the background.
