WIRED
Triple stimulation. Powerful. Waterproof. USB-C charger.
TIRED
Short battery life. Underwhelming.

While I usually stay away from anything with inflatable in the name—I was in one of those inflatable bouncy castles as a kid when it decided to deflate—I made an exception for the Pleasure Puff Inflatable Rabbit. It wasn’t because I’m a sucker for rabbit vibrators; I saw that it was designed for A-spot stimulation, in addition to G-spot and clitoral stimulation, so I wanted in on the action.

I can’t say I’ve mastered A-spot stimulation, nor have I ever climaxed because of it, but it doesn’t mean I’ve given up hope. It was with this in mind that I took the Pleasure Puff for a ride to see if the adorable inflatable ball could deliver.

A-Spot 101

No, the A-spot is not related to anal sex. When it comes to erogenous zones within the vagina, there's the G-spot—which we hear about a lot—on the inside of the pelvic bone. It shares a lot of nerve tissue with the clitoris, and when it's stimulated, it can indirectly stimulate the clitoris.

Further inside the vagina is the anterior fornix, aka the A-spot. While the G-spot is somewhere between two to three inches inside the vagina, the A-spot, which resides between the cervix and inner vaginal wall, is four to five inches deep. The A-spot, because it’s so far up inside, requires a bit more searching, and when found, needs a decent amount of pressure for proper stimulation. Like the G-spot and the clitoris, the stimulation of the A-spot evokes different sensations.

Because we’re all unique in how we experience pleasure, it’s important to realize that stimulating the A-spot might not be for you. In fact, you might find it as pointless as some people feel G-spot stimulation is. In other words, remove expectations from the equation.

Different, Not Better

At first glance, the Pleasure Puff looks like a traditional rabbit vibrator. It has a shaft for internal stimulation and an outer arm for clitoral stimulation. Like all rabbits, both parts have their own motor and a corresponding button to control the vibration modes of each. While fairly average in girth, the internal arm is pretty lengthy for a rabbit. Granted, this is necessary for A-spot stimulation, but it’s also a bit deceptive because, as much as it looks and feels long in use, the insertable shaft, per the manual and my trusty measuring tape, is only 5.25 inches.

If you’re not impressed by length and hold girth in higher regard, that’s where the inflatable balloon, or rather “pleasure puff,” comes into play. Once inside the vagina, you can inflate the balloon on the shaft to your desired fullness, satisfying your girthy needs. When fully inflated, the balloon comes in contact with the G-spot, so when you turn on the vibrations for the internal shaft, that area, as well as the A-spot, gets all the stimulation they could need or want from the nine intensities and patterns. Should you decide you want to focus on the A-spot alone, with one push of the button, you can quickly deflate the balloon, which, I must add, makes a really great “woosh” sound when it’s taken back to zero.

Like every other rabbit on the market, the external arm is there to stimulate the clitoris, which it does just fine. There weren't any big surprises here, but I do appreciate the design. Instead of being just another external arm that almost looks as if it were stuck on the main shaft at the last minute, the Pleasure Puff has a great curl shape, allowing it to hug the clitoris to make the vibrations feel more intense.

I’m still dumbfounded as to what I am supposed to have experienced with the Pleasure Puff. While I have no complaints about the external curled arm, the rest of it feels underwhelming. It’s powerful, has a three-button control panel that’s easy to navigate, a super cute inflatable balloon that makes an equally super cute noise when it deflates, and is 100 percent waterproof. But after each use, I couldn’t help hearing Peggy Lee's, “Is That All There Is?”

The Pleasure Puff is neat in theory, especially because not many sex toys are marketed for the A-spot. It takes an hour to charge via its USB-C cord, and barely gets more run time than that at the highest intensity levels. The manual listed a run time of 85 to 105 minutes when fully charged, but the Pleasure Puff crashed out for me before that—definitely under an hour. Perhaps that was my fault. Admittedly, I used it longer than most sex toys in my quest to climax from A-spot stimulation, which never happened.

If you know your way around your A-spot and are looking for a toy to stimulate it, while also stimulating your G-spot and clitoris, then the Pleasure Puff is for you. If the mention of the A-spot leaves you indifferent and/or shrugging, then there are more suitable rabbit vibrators on the market.
