Amazon Prime Day in October is the last big sale we'll see before the holidays. Officially called Prime Big Deal Days, the two-day event runs through today and promises “millions of deals,” but many discounts are misleading, with inflated prices that make the deals look better than they are. As the cost of virtually everything is rising, it's more important than ever to spend your money wisely. To help you out, I've gathered up the very best deals under $50.
These are the very best discounts we've seen on WIRED-tested gear we recommend, and, most importantly, that are actually worth buying. Plus, all of these deals bring the price to $50 or below, no small feat in today's economy. Want more options? Have a look at our guide to the Absolute Best Prime Day Deals.

We like this MagSafe wallet because it holds up to eight cards, plus a dedicated slot for an extra SIM card and a SIM card ejector. The unique folding design features a universal magnetic enclosure and a pull tab for easier card access. The backing also pops out to form a kickstand for hands-free video watching on your phone.

We think this is the best USB hub for connecting your gadgets. Its 140 watts of power can handle larger devices, including gaming laptops that need more juice. It also offers nearly every port you might need, all clearly labeled on its sturdy metal chassis.

This video doorbell is heavily discounted right now. At first, I thought the $29 price was a typo. We love the Arlo 2nd Gen: It delivers crisp, consistent HDR video and a wide field of view with 180-degree coverage. Animated video previews help you quickly identify important alerts as they arrive. It also connects to your smart home ecosystem, such as Alexa and Google Home, and you can pair it with smart displays or speakers to announce callers.

I don't want to believe it, but winter is coming. As temperatures drop, one of the best ways to keep colds at bay and your home comfortable is to invest in a humidifier. You don't even have to spring for an expensive one—I bought a $40 humidifier for my bedroom last winter, and it was one of the best decisions I made. I got sick less, had fewer sore throats, and my skin didn't feel as dry (especially my lips).
This compact monitor and thermometer measures and displays PM2.5, AQI, temperature, and humidity. It measures only PM2.5 particles and uses US EPA Standards to calculate the AQI. It has eco mode for longer battery life, A mode, which samples air every three minutes, and real-time mode, which samples air every 1.5 seconds for the most accurate air quality readings. It's not the sharpest on the market, but it can measure both indoor and outdoor environments and operate within a range of -14 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit.

Pimple patches, whether you love them or hate them, are clearly here to stay. While they may not have the bright, star-shaped design that Gen Z loves, these Mighty Patch patches are effective and super cheap when bought on sale and in bulk like this.
There are some things in life that are inevitable: death, taxes, and every woman on the WIRED Reviews team buying this regularly pricey lip mask at a steep discount during Amazon Prime Day. This tiny miracle balm turns my shriveled winter worm lips kissable overnight.

In Azul, you must make mosaics by matching tiles with different patterns and colors to get the maximum possible score. Azul is easy to grasp but supports many different tactical approaches and has surprising depth, making it one of the best family board games. At $16 off, this is the lowest price we'll see until Black Friday sales.
This addictive strategy game has become an icon in its own right. It challenges you to gather and trade resources to build and settle a board of hexagonal tiles, requiring both strategy and a bit of luck with dice rolls. It works best with three or four players, and unlike Monopoly or Dungeons & Dragons, you can finish the game in an hour. If you've been looking to spice up family board game night or to find a new game to share with friends, it's 45 percent off right now.
We like this building kit for older kids who want a more complex, hands-on experience. With this 175-piece set, you can build a four-cylinder engine that comes to life (when batteries are inserted) with moving pistons, valves, gears, and light-up LEDs to help kids understand how engines work.
