Backpack-Wearing Humanoid Robot Celebrates After Chasing Wild Boars Into Forest
We will be providing no further context at this time.
OK but if you must know, this is the moment a humanoid robot named “Edward Warchocki” successfully herded a group of wild boars away from a parking lot in Warsaw, Poland, into a nearby wooded area, in footage that was posted online on Sunday, April 12.
The Unitree G1 humanoid robot has become something of a celebrity in Poland, with videos its owners have published on social media racking up millions of views and likes. Earlier this year Edward Warchocki, who always appears wearing a backpack and what’s purported to be a Rolex watch, visited Poland’s lower house of parliament and spoke with MPs, while it has also appeared on morning TV shows, at sports grounds, and on the red carpet for Poland’s version of “Dancing With the Stars.” Although the robot can operate autonomously, its owners have previously told Poland’s public service broadcaster TVP that they operate it directly while in public.
The footage of Edward Warchocki chasing the wild boars was posted on the robot’s social media channels with the caption, “I’m herding the boars away.” As one person commented on Instagram, “I’ve gotten to the point where I don’t even have any questions.”
