Diddy and Dre Make Monster Beats

you have to feel the music.

No matter what music you're hearing

that don't, not that audiophiles is a bad thing

but they're consciousness is not to make the music

to bend with the music.

It's to just say this is what it could sound like

here it is, what it looks like.

Beats are about what it feels like

and that should be what it looks like.

Not on some graph of what music is supposed

you can't hear music looking at something

and Noel heard music the way that we did

and his commitment to sound was like ours.

And I knew you know what I got Dr. Dre

and I know Dr. Dre as well as anybody

in the entertainment business

and I know I said I gotta put him with a crew

that's gonna have the patience to make these things sound

the way he hears music and that ain't easy.

Because these suckers would have never come out

if we had gone to some gigantic corporation

these suckers would have never come out.

I mean it's a dream come true for me.

I mean I've been approached by almost every

audiovisual company that's out there.

After Dre did it I'm not a follower I'm a leader.

Sound wise nobody hears a record better than Dre.

Nobody produces a record soundwise better than Dre

and to get a chance to partner with him

what I do with fashion and also

add a little bit to what I do with sound

or how I hear sound it was just something

that I felt was, would be historical.

Ya'll know that white is my favorite color

They look the best and they sound the best

and he was able to go and translate the way I hear things

and almost damn near show me how

you know it could sound like this.

So when I listened to the Benjamins,

when I listen to the Biggie Life after Death

or Ready to Die album through these

I heard things that I never even heard before.

It's another level of detail,

it's another level of clarity, articulation

that only he knows how to bring to the table

along with monster together.

We try to get the best sound quality we can

in something this small.

It was hard enough trying to get

the studio headphones to have enough base in them

but we finally figured out a way to do it

after two years of working on it.

It's much harder making a record.
