[Erica] I also use the unread option on slides,

[Ryan] As we talk about the speed of news,
how do you feel like you guys keep up
with the up-to-date news stories, like
in the same way that edit does.
[Mallorie] When there's really buzzy stories,
a lot of times advertisers will want to be aligned
with that so we'll have to Slack our
ad-ops team those URLs really fast.
[Erica] Totally, so sometimes there's negative stories
and a lot of times advertisers want to
target away or even just like pause their campaign.
And that's like ASAP they need it.
And I'll have to Slack my ad-ops team
even like early in the morning and tell them to
kind of target away from like a new story.
And Slack is like amazing for that.
When you think about the way that our
editorial team crafts pieces of content,
and then we get up to the approval process,
how does that work on Slack?
[Ryan] Well you need an editors approval to move forward
with like pitches, story pitches, ideas, whatever.
A lot of people will send them to the editors email
and it takes a really long time for them to respond
and then they send me an email, like can you
go tell this editor to read my email.
So I think the integration of Slack
in that process, the approvals are very easy.
Just being able to get that quick
response from editors, that's like a huge thing
that has been a positive with Slack.
Real time fixes.
Real time fixes, real quick.
