Jumping Spiders Jump Around, Jump Up, Jump Up, and Get Down
Released on 12/05/2016
[Narrator] 'Scuse me sir, do you have a moment
to talk about our lord and savior Jesus Christ?
Okay then.
How 'bout you?
All right, a rain check.
Here we have the jumping spiders.
The most fleeting of arachnids.
And the most adorablist.
They go about life a whole lot differently
than the classical spider kickin' it in a web.
Jumping spiders don't waste time building
a home to catch insects.
Instead, they actively stalk their prey.
Check out these enormous peepers.
The two biggest eyeballs point straight ahead
to lock onto targets.
Other eyes are spread all around the head
giving the jumping spider an almost a 360 degree view.
That makes it an unstoppable hunter.
Not even flying critters can escape its grasp.
All right fine, maybe this one is cheating.
But still, the jumping spider isn't above a handout.
They'll even hunt other spiders.
Here one plucks at a web to get a rise out of its victim.
And in a flash, the jumping spider pounces.
These things will take on
other spiders bigger than themselves.
Like, way bigger.
So take a bow little one, or a twirl.
Entirely up to you.
