Paris Prosecutors Raid French Offices of Elon Musk’s X
Released on 02/03/2026
Elon Musk's X's offices in Paris
have been raided by the city's prosecutor's office
as part of an ongoing investigation
into suspected algorithmic bias
and the manipulation of automated data systems.
The prosecutor's office posted on X to say that
a search was being carried out by its cyber crime unit
with the help of Europol and the French police
and that Musk and former X CEO Linda Yaccarino
have been summoned for hearings in April.
They added that this would be their last post on X.
Their investigation was initially launched in January 2025
and later widened to include Grok.
At time of recording,
neither Musk or X had responded to the raid,
but in a statement issued in July,
X had described the investigation as politically motivated.
