Witness Protection Gone Wrong
Released on 08/21/2012
We're going to have a wonderful day today.
Thanks, honey.
You're so terrible, aren't you?
I play a guy who is in witness protection.
I am deeply in love with Kristin Bell and
I decide to leave witness protection
to take her to this job interview in LA.
(cries out being hit)
You hit me in the nose with a golf club.
I didn't think it would hurt that bad.
Alex, what do you want?
I want my money. That's it, bro.
Well, you got it.
I play a federal marshall that's in charge
of guarding my friend and when he decides
to leave, I feel he is at risk so I follow him.
(gunshots firing)
Mom!
(gunshots firing)
You know what the movie is really about to me?
It's about a guy and a woman. When a guy meets
a woman and he falls in love with her,
she knows something about him. She may not know
everything about him, but we don't want to tell
her everything right away because there's
some stuff we're kind of ashamed of. We hope that
she will tell us something horrible about her.
That doesn't mean we aren't on it.
We were best friends and you betrayed me.
It really is a great case study about men and
women and how much you reveal. Once a woman loves
you, and you love them, you don't want
to mess it up.
This whole thing happened really fast
and I'm sorry.
Except for completely lying about who you are.
You may have had three ways with dudes.
I don't know.
Woah, whoa, whoa.
Yeah, it really explores lying versus omission
and what is lying and what is just omission.
When I got into witness protection, I knew
I wasn't going to be that guy anymore.
You're a bank robber?
I did the get away driving part.
Well, I would love to tell you about my role
as the director, writer and actor in this movie,
but I know the second I start talking about
it seriously, Tom will make fun of me.
Who wouldn't react like this? A sociopath?
You know, I never felt, you know,
when the director, he's one of the guys in
charge and he's happy to be there, even if
you aren't? Like he knows everything .
I always felt he knew what was going on.
Who wasn't always happy on the side?
I wasn't always happy. (laughing)
yeah, you don't like doing this.
I go, no!
I ask that person sitting next to him,
when did you stop liking to act? What
year was that?
(ambient music)
