20070514220125467Hewlett-Packard's "intuitive" e-book is still on the drawing board four years after it first emerged, but they're not letting already-available alternatives from Sony and others stop them: it's going to be a while yet before HP releases their take on the e-book business.

Seen here at a Shanghai mobility summit, HP's panel looks similar to standard e-ink models as found in the competition, but allows one to flip the pages with a finger using a touch-sensitive bar. Moreover, it apparently animates the flip on-screen: an impossibility with e-ink, which has a half-second refresh rate.
