UK mobile operator Orange, already one of the cheapest providers for international calls, has dropped prices through the floor on its pre-pay service, called the Call Abroad SIM.
Amazingly, the cost per minute to call the US from England is 5p (10 cents), less than a mobile to landline call in England which is 15p (30 cents).
In comparison, Vodafone UK charges £1.25 ($2.50) a minute on it's Pay As You Go plan and O2 charge £1.50 ($3.00)
Price drops in Europe are expected, as the operators seek to avoid compulsory price capping form the European Commission, but damn, this is cheap. Hopefully the trend will continue.
