Even Trump Supporters Are Questioning Whether He’s Actually The Antichrist
Released on 04/15/2026
Is Donald Trump the antichrist?
It's a question some of the loudest voices
in MAGA media are asking themselves.
Even previously staunch supporters were outraged
after Trump posted an AI generated image
that appeared to depict himself as Jesus Christ.
Although he later deleted the picture
and claimed he thought the image showed to him as a doctor.
Clint Russell
hosted the right-wing Liberty Lockdown Podcast,
wrote on X in response.
In 18 months, I went from hesitantly voting for Trump
to thinking there's a decent chance he's the antichrist.
Also writing on X, far-right Texas Pastor Joel Webbon said,
I genuinely believe Trump is currently demon possessed.
For hosting a livestream chat
entitled, Is Donald Trump The Antichrist?
Responding to the Jesus like AI generated image
Trump had posted on Truth Social,
former congressperson and ex Trump supporter
Marjorie Taylor Greene wrote,
It's more than blasphemy, it's an antichrist spirit.
Trump and his supporters of long used
explicitly religious rhetoric
and images to mobilize his base.
But especially since the start of the war with Iran,
Trump's actions, including a very public
and heated row with Pope Leo, have caused a major schism
among his supporters that could have lasting effects for him
and the Republican party,
particularly if he's deserted by Catholic voters.
On Easter Sunday, Trump used his Truth Social platform
to threaten to destroy civilian infrastructure
in Iran writing, Open the fucking Strait
you crazy bastards,
or you'll be living in hell,
just watch, Praise be to Allah.
This post prompted conservative pundit Tucker Carlson,
who has previously claimed that Trump
survived the assassination attempt
in Butler, Pennsylvania by divine intervention,
to publish a 43 minute long opening monologue
in which he claimed the war against Iran
was also a war on the Christian faith.
Carlson never used the word antichrist,
but MAGA media figures like Alex Jones
and users of the Donald Trump 666 Subreddit
believed that was his insinuation.
Trump has also speculated that divine intervention saved him
during the attempt on his life,
and that, one expert told Wired,
is part of the problem for him now.
Robert Jones, the President
and founder of the Public Religion Research Institute,
said that people were reaching for the Antichrist label
because Trump had set the stage for that himself, so.
